Houston, TX, United States, 2005/08/09 - Looking to spice up the palates of hungry patrons with a love for great tasting chicken wings, Wingstop Restaurants, Inc. opened its second Orange County location in Rancho Santa Margarita on Saturday, July 16..
J.B. Jakubek and Deborah Stinson, owners of Beach City Partners, LLC, opened the location in The Shops at El Paseo at 22195 El Paseo, Suite 100. They also own another Wingstop store in Lake Forest, and have another under development.
Jakubek and Stinson invested in Wingstop because they believed in the business model. They appreciated the concepts of freshness and simplicity, and knew their customers would also.
“There is a market for the product that we are selling. The concept of freshness and made-to-order food is not something you find in most quick service restaurants,” said Stinson. “Once people try the wings, they love them. We have not had a bad experience yet.”
The new Wingstop is open daily from 11 a.m. to midnight. Orders can be phoned in to the new location at (949) 459-9464.
The chain offers restaurants with a nostalgic, aviation-themed atmosphere where the sole focus is on chicken wings. Wingstop features nine proprietary wing flavors, including Original Hot, Cajun, Atomic, Mild, Teriyaki, Lemon Pepper, Hawaiian, Garlic Parmesan and our brand new Hickory Smoked BBQ. The wings are always made-to-order and served steaming hot. Customers also choose from homemade side dishes: fresh-cut seasoned fries, bourbon baked beans, pearl potato salad, creamy cole slaw, vegetable sticks, rolls and ranch and blue cheese dipping sauces.
Wingstop has more than 400 restaurants either open or under development in 25 states and consistently tops industry growth rankings. In 2004, Wingstop was ranked the number one chicken wing chain by Entrepreneur magazine and number four in Restaurants & Institutions’ Top 400 Sales-Growth Leaders (the only wing chain in the top ten). In July 2005, Wingstop ranked number 13 in Restaurant Business’ Top 50 Growth Chains (ranked by percentage increase in units). Troy Aikman, former Dallas Cowboy and Super Bowl MVP, signed on as the chain’s national spokesman in 2003.
