CVISION Technologies, Inc., a leading provider of advanced document capture software, announced today that it would provide a law firm, an already existing client, four additional cores of Maestro Recognition Server so the firm could increase their throughput.
CVISION’s Maestro is a highly accurate and flexible optical character recognition software that converts scanned documents into text-searchable PDF files. It is software designed for industrial strength and corporate volume scanning needs.
In the initial transaction between the law firm and CVISION, the law firm purchased Maestro to digitize and process their paper-based legal documents efficiently. Maestro’s unlimited license enabled the firm to process an unlimited number of pages. Following the purchase, the law firm experienced an immediate increase in throughput.
Recently, the law firm turned to CVISION again, as they realized they could further increase their throughput. In their original purchase, the firm obtained an unlimited license with one core of Maestro. The license provided for the processing of an unlimited number of pages. The one core, however, only allowed for the processing of a certain number of pages at one time. To further improve their throughput, the firm decided to purchase four additional cores of Maestro.
The four cores, coupled with Maestro’s unlimited license, have enabled the firm to quadruple the number of pages they are able to process at once.
