Newedge, a global leader in multi-asset brokerage and clearing, announced today a range of senior appointments across its Global Metals businesses in London, New York and Hong Kong.
In London:
Andrew Patterson was appointed Senior Director, Head of Metals Trading for EMEA. Mr Patterson has 17 years of experience in the Metals business, most recently as the head of Newedge’s Floor Team on the London Metal Exchange (LME) and he is presently a member of the LME Ring Committee.
Andrew Foxley was appointed Director, Global Head of Metals Ebrokerage and will expand his responsibilities to cover Newedge’s industry leading electronic platform, Metals Edge and its unique China Connect product, which offers clients simultaneous electronic access to all four Chinese mainland exchanges as well as to global exchanges.
Pengjiang (Richard) Fu has joined the firm as Director, Metals to serve Asian market participants who seek trading at European exchanges. Most recently, Mr Fu was Head of China desk at Jefferies Bache in London.
Peter Barrowcliff joined as Senior Director and Metals Global Chief Operating Officer earlier this year. Mr Barrowcliff is responsible for the management and direction of Newedge’s Metals platform globally. Peter is a futures industry veteran who previously was at Nomura in Hong Kong and prior to that with Lehman Brothers in Europe. He is a member of the Supervisory Board of Eurex Clearing AG.
In New York:
William Taylor was appointed Senior Director, Head of Metals Trading America’s. Mr Taylor has been a leading member of Newedge’s New York team for 15 years, and prior to that was at Rudolf Wolff as well as Metallgesellschaft.
Newedge has hired Anthony Kelly as Associate Director Trading. Mr Kelly joined from Natixis in New York.
In Asia, Newedge has added to its regional leading Metals Franchise in Hong Kong and Shanghai:
Wendy Law has joined Newedge as Director, Head of Sales Asia. Wendy began her career on the producer side of the metals business, working at Metallgesellschaft and Glencore and most recently managed APAC sales efforts at Natixis.
Alan Burr has joined Newedge as Director, Head of Trading Asia. Alan has significant experience in the Metals business starting on the floor on the LME and more recently as head of Metals APAC for Natixis.
Andy Ko joined the Metals desk as Associate Director Trading. Mr Ko previously was with Natixis in Hong Kong.
