The unified messaging solution IXI-UMS is released for Novell GroupWise 2012 now: serVonic’s fax- and unified messaging-server can also be integrated seamlessly into the latest version of the groupware system. Independent of the client operating system and the mail program, the user can send and receive also faxes, voicemails and SMS – in addition to e-mails – via the regular e-mail client. He administers the additional message types intuitively: Without a lot of effort for training, he can make use of the features available to him for his e-mails also for his faxes, SMS and voicemails.
serVonic’s IXI-UMS for fax and unified messaging (servonic.com) is an add-on solution, which can be integrated into groupware systems such as Novell GroupWise via standards: The sending and the reception of the faxes, SMS and voicemails is realized via SMTP, the access to the mailboxes as well as the remote inquiry works via IMAP and the permissions are checked via LDAP. With IXI-UMS for Novell GroupWise, the administrator has a “Single Point of Administration“ at his disposal: The user management for UMS-messages can also be handled in the Novell eDirectory directly.
The IXI-UMS Kernel takes care of the conversion of the messages and the connection to the PBX or to the PSTN. serVonic’s IXI-UMS solution can communicate with IP-based as well as with ISDN-based or hybrid-PBX’s.
IXI-UMS is designed modularly and can be integrated into Novell GroupWise as pure fax server as well as complete unified messaging system. A company so can choose exactly the unified messaging features needed.
