“We are very pleased to announce this appointment,” said Robert D. Ryan, President of Healing the Children Northeast’s Board of Directors. “Cheyrisse brings leadership and creativity to the organization along with a deep sense of commitment to our mission. Having served on our Board of Directors she also brings a breadth of perspective and experience to this role.”
Cheyrisse received her Bachelor of Arts degree from Western Connecticut State in American Studies and is currently working toward her Master’s Degree in school counseling. She has served as Co-Chair of the Hord Academy II Board of Advisees, a non-profit organization assisting children educationally in Danbury, CT and as CEO, Vice-President and Treasurer of American Bio-Tech of Sherman, CT. She is an active member of the New Milford branch of Rotary International and the Greater New Milford Chamber of Commerce.

Along with our international efforts, our goal is to re-establish a strong domestic program to help the many disadvantaged children within our own neighborhoods who require medical assistance. Healing the Children Northeast (htcne.org) is a 501©3 nonprofit organization dedicated to providing medical care to impoverished children whose families don't have access to, or cannot afford medical treatment, in the United States and throughout the world. Since our chapter's inception in 1985, we've arranged treatment for more than 33,000 children with burn injuries, cleft palates and other deformities.
