On the weekend of July 20, Artist John Ross Palmer hosted his official unveiling of the much-anticipated Jerusalem 2012 art series. The series was a product of his annual study-abroad trip which was taken to Israel in June of this year. The first unveiling was on the evening of Friday, July 20, 2012 and was an invitation-only, VIP cocktail reception for a select number of art collectors and friends at the John Palmer Art Gallery & Studio. The public unveiling, also at his Historic Houston Heights art gallery, was held on the afternoon of Saturday, July 21, 2012 and it was met with many new faces and several friends of Palmer art collectors that were eager to see the new, original works. Both events were preceded by ten individual, exclusive Previews (during a two-week span) of the series by members of Palmer's First Class Club, the elite group of art enthusiasts that underwrite his annual study-abroad adventure.
Both unveilings were highly successful and the eleven-piece series was nearly sold out by weekends-bringing much excitement and pride to the John Palmer Art Gallery & Studio. (At the time of this Press Release only 3 remain Currently Available). Artist John Ross Palmer said of the events,"I am extremely honored by the reviews I've had from all of our guests. I am overjoyed at how well received this series has been and am so glad that everyone loves it as much as I adored creating it." Partner and art gallery co-owner Ryan Lindsay joins in his sentiment,"I am so glad that the new series has sold so quickly--although I am not surprised. The Jerusalem 2012 series is absolutely amazing and the quick sales really speak volumes for the inspiration John found while in Israel. We are elated with everyone's positive reactions!" The series will remain on display at the John Palmer Art Gallery & Studio through the date of Palmer's July Open Studio, Sunday, July 29th.
