OPENHOURZ, a non-biased, community sourced business directory announced yesterday that their website is set to re-launch July 18, 2012. The redesigned site will include a new social bookmarking feature as well as tools to help users discover something new.
Since the websites launch earlier this year, OPENHOURZ has received over 300K unique visitors and has also added over 500K businesses nationwide. Due to the large amount of feedback the OPENHOURZ team has received, they have decided to redesign the site and integrate a social sharing platform. “The List,” the new social bookmarking tool, allows users to browse through the directory, find store hours, create lists, follow friends, and most importantly, discover new things.
The list allows users to bookmark all of their favorite places and what they like about them. For instance, lists have been created to remind people of where their favorite sushi spots are or where the best places are located to shop for children's clothing. Tagging top picks from these places enables other users to discover people with similar interest.
