The next step in getting this confirmed was to determine feeling amongst shoppers in the UK following a year of successful brand exposure through several high-profile customers, including Mothercare, B&Q and PHS Washrooms.
A survey by Ipsos MORI, the most trusted brand in independent polls in the UK, put three questions posed by SteriTouch through a very strict anti-bias procedure, which they passed with flying colours.
The survey polled 1132 main shoppers across Britain, and the results spoke volumes. The SteriTouch brand was not only the most recognised UK antimicrobial brand, it was the brand most associated with hygiene – globally. The third question fulfilled our own curiosity; it showed that our two nearest UK competitors were associated with ‘biodegradable’ far more than ‘hygiene’, demonstrating perfectly how important it is to choose the right brand for a product, to avoid confusion amongst consumers.
Most importantly the results provide SteriTouch brand users with absolute evidence that they are already using the most relevant antimicrobial co-brand, conveying precisely the right message to their customers.
