The demand for EtOH testing via blood collection has increased for both medical and legal purposes. Blood ethanol tests are becoming the preferred method of testing for the presence alcohol because its window of detection is longer (2-4 weeks) than that of a traditional urine EtG (80 hours). ARCpoint Labs is equipped to provide blood ethanol testing via standard blood collection using a syringe, or by using a less invasive option for blood ethanol detection via a PEth test. The PEth test requires only a capillary blood draw (finger prick) using a lancet. The window of detection for a PEth blood ethanol test is also 2-4 weeks.
