Miami, FL, United States, 2012/05/24 - ASPIRA of Florida, Inc., Miami Dade College, North Campus and the Coca-Cola Company Present Preparing Students for Summer: A Guide to Health, Nutrition and Recycling.

On May 31, ASPIRA of Florida, Inc., Miami Dade College and the Coca-Cola Company will join together at the Miami Dade College North Campus from 11 am.-1 pm. to educate students on the importance of staying healthy, active and involved over the summer months.
Preparing Students for Summer: A Guide to Health, Nutrition and Recycling will include a presentation from Coca-Cola about the significance of recycling and caring for our environment. They will also sponsor a nutritious lunch in addition to presenting students from ASPIRA’s Eugenio Maria De Hostos Charter School with 100 books focused on well-being and healthy eating. The books contain a CD created by Duke University’s Health and Nutrition Department. ASPIRA will have the physical education teachers discussing the importance of exercising over the summer months as well.

Students attending the ASPIRA event at Miami Dade College, North Campus will be treated to an opportunity to explore scientific concepts through simulation activities.
