The Tree House Kids Club offers generous play space for children spread over two storeys and features its very own check-in area for little ones. Designed for play and a fun learning environment where parents can also join in, the club features four separate areas linked by a covered walkway leading to a kid’s library, arts and crafts laboratory, kid’s café and internet/video corner. Taking centre stage is a covered performance area where children have the opportunity to put their talent on parade.
Conceptualised by the in-house design team at Banyan Tree Group, The Tree House Kids Club was built to simulate a smaller resort within Angsana Laguna Phuket, and is aimed at entertaining and inspiring children ages one to sixteen. Featuring pint-sized facilities and furniture, the Tree House Kids Club has fun features such as brightly coloured tables, chairs and other decorative pieces.
The Tree House Café, located on the second floor, serves a variety of all-time favourites from hot dogs and hamburgers to creamy milkshakes. In the outdoor area, three different playgrounds are on offer catering to three different age groups: one to three, four to 12, and 13 to 15 years old. The latest versions of Wii, Play Station 3, and Kinect XBOX are available at the internet/video corner, which is expected to be a hit with teenagers.
To ensure that children benefit from this interactive learning environment, The Tree House Kids Club offers more than sixty educational classes and enrichment programmes available from 9am to 9pm each day. Immersion in Thai culture, from traditional Thai dancing and Muay Thai instruction to cooking classes, courses in coconut leaf folding and local Thai games, are also available. In the evenings, children will be able to perform their newly acquired skills on stage dressed in traditional Thai costumes.
For outdoor and sport activities, the fun starts with a nature walk in the Laguna area during which children learn about local birds and other animals. Telescopes are provided and fun, educational stories are shared by the hotel’s staff. In line with the resort’s social responsibility initiatives, kids can elect to adopt trees and plant them on the surrounding grounds. A wide variety of games including non-motorised water sports and excursions to local points of interest are also available.
Every day from 9 - 9.30am and 3 - 3.30pm, the resort’s in-house baby elephants visit the club to say hello. Kids can learn first-hand about elephants during this interactive.
Summer Family Festival
Guests who stay at Angana Laguna Phuket from 15 May 2012 – 31 October 2012 receive special privilege as follow: free dining and beverages at all Laguna Phuket restaurants for a child, free golf for children aged 9-16 years old when playing with a full paying adult, daily activities at Quest Laguna Phuket Adventure for children aged 5 – 15 years old, free Laguna tours for children on selected excursions, free extra bed for child aged 12 years old and under, free evening.
