Robin Bylenga, proprietor of Pedal Chic is pleased to announce the Pedal Chic is hosting the popular traveling road show of vegan food and bicycle inspiration called Dinner and Bikes, this Saturday, April 28th at the Caine Halter Family YMCA, 721 Cleveland Street, Greenville, South Carolina, 29601.
The two-hour event begins at 7 pm; reservations are required, and advanced tickets ($15 per person) can be purchased online at brown paper tickets.
Dinner and Bikes is a month-long tour of the southeastern United States in April and May of 2012. Joshua Ploeg, Joe Biel and Elly Blue are determined to bring people together to eat delicious, healthy food and provide inspiration about bicycle transportation. The evening program includes sampling new and amazing flavor combinations cooked up by vegan chef Joshua. Elly shares information about the bicycling economy, and Joe's short, inspiring movies depict Portland's bike culture.

Vegan chef Joshua Ploeg is the author of two cookbooks, In Search of the Lost Taste and So Raw It's Downright Filthy. Joe Biel founded Microcosm Publishing 16 years ago, and now publishes nonfiction books, zines and movies. Elly Blue blogs about bicycle transportation and grassroots culture at Taking the Line. She is the co-founder of PDX by Bike and of the Portland Society. Her recent zines are Bikecomics; How Bicycling Can Save the Economy (If We Let It) and Taking The Lane series.
