Gay Coffee, which debuted in October 2011 in San Francisco, is expanding its wholesale capacity from regional outlets in New England to national retailers. Gay Coffee bag and gift tin products are now available for wholesale purchase from retailers and specialty grocers throughout the United States.
“We had no idea how well Gay Coffee would sell," says Helen Kahn, owner of the Cup and Top Cafe in Florence, MA, which started carrying Gay Coffee last November. "It's not only clever and kitschy, it's fantastic coffee, too. Many of my customers are addicted to it, and have made Gay Coffee their daily brew."
WHO: Gay Coffee, founded by independent coffee roaster Melissa Krueger. All Gay Coffee roasts are fairly traded and organically sourced, respecting coffee growing partners and the planet's health, with a percentage of profits donated to the National Gay Lesbian Task Force. Gay Coffee also supports local and regional organizations with donations and fundraising products.
