The Kimball Art Center’s Relevant Artist-in-Residence program brings together a select group of talented undergraduate and graduate-level art students from across the country for an 8-day artist-in-residence (July 28th - August 4th) focusing on sculpture, painting, mixed media and photography.

Held in Park City, UT, this program provides the participants with on-on-one, in-studio sessions with a commercially-viable, working artist mentor, panel discussions and networking events with art industry professionals. The program culminates with an exclusive Relevant 2012 Exhibition running from Aug. 4 -Sept. 30, 2012. Artist works will be displayed during the 2012 Park City Kimball Arts Festival, held on August 3 - 5th. This event is considered to be one of the top art festivals in the country which attracts over 55,000 art enthusiasts.

Participants will donate a piece for the collectors exchange and create an original piece for sale in the Relevant Exhibition. Selected students will also be invited to participate in all future Relevant exhibitions as alums.

Students must submit an application including:

• $25 non-refundable fee
• Headshot photo and Bio
• 5-10 images of different pieces of recent work
• 2-minute Video about why your work is “Relevant”
• 200 to 500 word essay about why you would like to participate, what you are looking to get out of this program and how you plan on using this experience to further your professional goals.
