Students at the Heritage Institute will welcome members of the public to their campus on Wednesday for the school’s Third Annual Health Fair.
Students will demonstrate the skills they have learned and offer complimentary services to guests. Heritage students study for careers in therapeutic massage, esthetics, pharmacy tech, medical assisting (with limited-scope x-ray training), and personal training.
“What an opportunity this is,” said Jacksonville Campus Director Michele Grant. “Our graduates serve our community throughout their careers, and it’s a pleasure to welcome our neighbors to our facility. Our mission is service, and our students love this opportunity to teach our guests about health and wellness.”
Public Events will include the following:
• Esthetics: Receive microdermabrasion on your hands; Get your eyebrows waxed;
• Therapeutic Massage: Receive chair massages, aromatherapy hand massages, and tension relieving head and neck treatments;
• Pharmacy Technician: Visit our mock pharmacy to fill your candy prescription;
• X-Ray Medical Technician-Medical Assistant ®: Check your blood pressure, height and weight;
• Personal Trainer: Fitness Assessments to check your cardio and strength abilities.
The event will be held Wednesday, March 14, 2012. In order to accommodate the busy schedules of attendees, a morning session and an evening session are planned: 10:30am – 12:30pm, and also 5:30pm – 7:30pm. Heritage Institute is located at 4130 Salisbury Rd., Suite 1100 in Jacksonville. No appointment or reservation is required.
