Serco, Inc., a provider of professional, technology, and management services to the federal government, announced today that the Company has been awarded a contract to support Naval Sea Systems Command Integrated Undersea Surveillance System (IUSS) Logistics Support Facility (LSF). The contract has a nine-month base period and four one-year options with a value of $19 million, if all options are exercised. Serco has been providing similar services under the contract since 2002.

Serco will be responsible for the operation of the sole logistics support depot for the U.S. Navy’s IUSS, including both ship and shore activities. The company will support program management, policy development procurement, logistics IT, technical research, configuration management outfitting and warehousing. The logistics IT system being utilized by IUSS was developed in-house by Serco during the previous contract and will continue to be maintained and operated by the same team. Work under the contract will be performed primarily at the IUSS Operations Support Center in Virginia Beach, VA.

“We understand how critical the IUSS component is to the U.S. Navy’s anti-submarine and undersea warfare capabilities,” said Bob Wood, Vice President of Serco’s Logistics unit. “The Serco team is proud to continue to support the IUSS and their mission of material readiness – vital work that we have been doing for the Navy since 2002.”
