Local Alternative World Fusion artist Khaled Dajani will perform at this year’s TEDxGramercy. Khaled is an independent musician and recent winner of the Best Male Solo Award at the 2011 Hoboken Music Awards. His music creatively blends Spanish, Middle Eastern and Rock ‘n Roll creating a unique and uncompromising listening experience. Dajani will perform his song "Motions of the Dancers" with award-winning dancer Kelley Donavan.

"I'm honored and excited to be part of TEDxGramercy," said Dajani. "I'm a huge TED fan, and my views align well with the theme of the talks. In the spirit of bringing people together, I hope my music and performance will entertain and inspire the community." Khaled is also recording his third full-length studio album at The Cutting Room Studios in New York City scheduled for release in the Spring of 2012. Dajani is launching a Kickstarter campaign to partially fund his album.

Khaled’s new album fuses Western and Eastern music, both traditional and modern, to create a familiar yet innovative style. His ability to incorporate old and new sounds fits well into this year’s TEDxGramercy theme.
