Epson Middle East is set to showcase a wide range of technologically advanced projectors at Gitex Dubai 2006 to be held from 18 to 22 November, 2006, at the Dubai International Convention and Exhibition Centre. Epson’s new rage includes the EMP-TW700, an HD-ready premium projector for home cinema enthusiasts, EMP-TWD3, a true home entertainment centre designed to deliver the highest-quality images and stereo sound, EMP-1715, the world’s first XGA 3LCD projector with USB connectivity and multi-screen technology and the EMP-6100, a new feature-packed 3LCD installation projector offering superior brightness and an advanced preventative maintenance system for businesses.
Epson EMP-TW700, with a native 16:9 resolution of 1280x720 pixels and HDMI input, displays true High Definition content and is best suited for the Middle East’s home cinema enthusiasts. Image quality is one of the best in its class due to a contrast ratio of 10000:1 and 1600 ANSI lumens of brightness. The new 2.1x zoom lens delivers crisp, sharp images, colour flare reduction and improved lens shift. The super high contrast ratio of 10000:1 is the result of Epson’s Auto Iris Optical System, which controls the intensity of light from the lamp. The high-power lens also contains 14 sub-lenses including two aspherical lenses, which function to reduce colour flare. The EMP-TW700 will project a 60” screen size from just 1.8m away.
The Epson EMP-TWD3 is a true home entertainment centre that has been designed for ease of use whilst delivering the highest-quality images and stereo sound. It is an innovative home entertainment system featuring Epson 3LCD projector and JVC DVD reader and multi-directional stereo speakers. It is HD compatible and is easily connected to a computer, games console or digital camera. The 7kg projector achieve detailed images with a contrast ratio of 1000:1 and comes complete with its own 80” home cinema screen which rolls up easily for storage when not in use. Users can project a 60” image from less than 1.5 metres. Horizontal and vertical lens shift allows the lens to shift up, down, left and right, helping users move their screen to the perfect position.
“The concept of home entertainment has reached new levels in the Middle East with the availability of the most sophisticated technology and solutions. Epson has led the way in offering consumers an array of products that address their varied home entertainment requirements, and Gitex serves as the best platform for us to promote these products to potential customers in the region,” said Khalil El-Dalu, General Manager, Epson Middle East said.
“Our EMP-TW700 is the projector of choice for those who want to recreate a true home cinema experience. It is HD ready and combined with Epson’s 3LCD technology, images are of incredible clarity. The Epson EMP-TWD3 combines contemporary design with superior imaging, sound technology and portability. It is the perfect way to watch films, listen to music, play computer games or enjoy a slideshow of family photos and videos,” he added.
The EMP-1715 is targeted at the Middle East’s business and education sectors. Weighing 1.7 kg, it is the smallest and lightest, high-brightness wireless projector on the market. Its features include the option of projecting up to four different screens simultaneously in addition to improved secure wireless functionality for sending movies and data. A Quick Start feature ensures that the projector takes only five seconds to warm up. It features world-first USB connectivity meaning it can be easily connected to a computer or laptop via a standard USB cable. Unlike VGA connectivity, it does not require configuration between computer and projector, which means simpler and faster set up.
The EMP-6100 is Epson’s new feature-packed 3LCD installation projector offering superior brightness and an advanced preventative maintenance system for businesses in the Middle East. It combines easy maintenance, enhanced network monitoring, dust protection and a high brightness of 3500 ANSI lumens. It is easy to install and the 1.6 times optical zoom ratio allows a large projection to be achieved even in a smaller space. A 60-inch screen can be projected from a distance of only 1.8 metres with the EMP-6100.
Moreover, Epson has incorporated a new electrostatic filter, which protects the projector against trapped small dust or smoke particles and ensures that only clean air is passed through the projector to keep it cool.
“The innovations in the EMP-1715 will be of much benefit to the region’s business and education sectors as these have been specifically designed to provide presenters with greater functionality, increased flexibility and premium quality output. The fantastic features of multi-screen technology and USB connectivity in the EMP-1715 are two world-firsts for Epson. Whereas the EMP-6100 is the result of significant consumer research undertaken by Epson before designing the projector. Consumers wanted an installation projector that afforded reliability, hassle-free maintenance, dust and smoke protection and good networking capability. The EMP-6100 satisfies on all counts and offers a superior, advanced and flexible solution to businesses in the region,” concluded El-Dalu.
