The poster presentation is based on Dr. Gray's experience over a five-year period.
Dr. Gray has modified the MACS facelift by introducing the "Finger Assisted Tissue Separation" (FATS) technique resulting in quicker recovery, fewer complications, and better results. The FATS technique is a simpler and safer procedure. Preserving the natural fat and repositioning it provides a bloodless operative field and the finger assisted tissue separation (FATS) allows minimal use of cautery, which can cause thermal heat injury.
Facial aging is a result of years of the natural gravitational pull between the skin and facial skeleton leading to the sagging of the skin and loss of elasticity. Sagging is made worse by the weight of added fat. Previous methods used cautery to assist in the operation.
