Coyote System, the European leader in community-based driving assistants, announces today an important milestone with 1.5 million paying users in its community.
Coyote's community has grown by more than 80 percent in the course of last year.
Using the Coyote service, drivers exchange information on speed camera locations (where legally allowed), road hazards and traffic conditions with the click of a button. The user-generated information is processed in real-time through sophisticated algorithms that aggregate, filter, verify and rank community alerts.
The Coyote solution is available on multiple devices: Coyote’s range of hardware products, the iCoyote App (iOS and Android), Garmin and TomTom connected Personal Navigation Devices, as well as Parrot Asteroid and Pioneer AppRadio in-car head units. In addition, Renault’s recently announced in-car tablet R-Link will also feature the service.
“The clarification of the French law related to speedcam warning systems and our continuous growth in neighbouring countries put us in a comfortable position to start 2012,“ said Fabien Pierlot, CEO at Coyote System.
“Market studies show that speedcam warnings and traffic alerts are the two types of real-time information most demanded by European drivers. In one case we are the pioneer and leader in the speedcam warning business; in the other case we have become a major supplier of real-time road speed measurements to traffic information vendors.“
Coyote will exhibit its full range of solutions at the upcoming Mobile World Congress in Barcelona on February 27- March 1, 2012.
