Proactive government initiatives in favor of the rising demand attributed towards a total investment of nearly VND3.6 Trillion (US$ 173 Million) in 37 low-cost housing projects covering a total landmass of 750,000 Sq M in 2010. The Ministry is co-operating with relevant Units to mobilize capital in an effort to speed up the progress of low-cost house projects.
Factors including increasing rate of urbanization, strong demand of low-priced house, rising number of households, and high investment, the Vietnam housing sector has been exhibiting stupendous growth over the past few years. The demand and supply of housing Units has met the expectation of a large population, especially in cities like Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh (HCM) City owing to the influx of high GDP growth.
