Partnered with world renowned Steinhausen Gallery of Art and Design, Adriana Marie Co. presented their designs at an event called Global Expressions. “We hosted the ribbon cutting ceremony for the opening of the Colombian Consulate so I wanted to be cohesive yet stand out”. Rather than an orthodox runway show, the designer successfully combined the fashion world with the art world presenting the collection on models that posed as art.

From the red carpet to the all white décor to the lighted, roped off stage, Adriana Marie Co.’s presentation was taken in by 200 of the city’s most prestigious people. Socialites, magazine editors, publicists, bloggers, art buyers and city officials filled the room while sipping on champagne and nibbling on delectable food such as Crispy Serrano Ham and Machego Croquette catered by Dominick Rizzo Catering. “We even live broadcasted the event to the gallery in Florida. It was Amazing” recalls Adriana.

For about an hour the stage was desolate except for white candles and plaques that had descriptions of each designs inspiration. Then, through the crowd of suits and dresses you could see tall, done up models making their way to the stage where they stood for twenty minutes switching poses and getting photographed. The moment everyone was waiting for finally took place and it was worth the wait!
