IdeaConnection.com, an open innovation company, is pleased to announce that Sue Adams is joining their business development and sales team.
“With her strong business background, coupled with experience as a facilitator on many of our problem-solving challenges, Sue has the knowledge and experience to carry our services forward,” says Scott Wurtle, founder and CEO.
Before taking on this role in sales and business development, Adams had the opportunity to work on a number of IdeaConnection “challenges” in the capacity of facilitator, which has allowed her a unique insight into how the company works, how to work with a global team of experts, and how those experts solve problems for IdeaConnection’s clients, including Fortune 500 companies.
When Adams first discovered IdeaConnection, she was fascinated with its website and immediately subscribed to the newsletter. “I read it thoroughly for about a year and noticed they were looking for facilitators, so I applied,” says Adams. “I worked on quite a few challenges and when the opportunity arose to work with the business development team, I jumped at the chance.”
Adams wound up her facilitating projects and immersed herself in the other services that IdeaConnection offers. “This is such a unique business and there is a lot to learn,” says Adams. “To begin with, this is an education process whereby I connect with organizations to learn what their challenges and struggles are, and then offer a new perspective on how their issues may be solved using the innovative and globally centered methods offered by IdeaConnection.”
For instance, she sees many opportunities where IdeaConnection can help healthcare companies, whether helping with their R&D challenges, technology scouting, or finding innovative solutions.
Adams loves talking about her new job. “There is no simple short answer to describe what I do,” she explains. “This company is so leading edge and many people have never heard of open innovation. But I am discovering that a lot of companies have already benefited. The problem-solving teams I’ve worked with, and the clients whose problems we’ve solved, understand the power of our methods.”
And she is proud to be part of the business development team. “The potential to really make a difference is huge,” Adams explains. “Solving a problem that could become a global trend—the potential is vast.”
Adams is dedicated to establishing business-to-business relationships that create positive changes and growth for leading edge companies, and believes her commitment with Idea Connection fulfills her passion for exploring uncharted territory. “IdeaConnection has a unique problem-solving methodology that I am excited to be part of,” she says.
