The final numbers are in for the 10th Annual Big Bad Ball, a black tie gala that is held at the Capital City Club in Downtown Raleigh and benefits Hospice of Wake County.
Hundreds of guests gathered at the 10th Annual Big Bad Ball, on October 1, 2011, and over $100,000 was raised for Hospice of Wake County’s Benevolent Care Program and Horizons Grief Center. The funds raised translate to around 667 days of care and will allow Hospice to maintain a benevolent care fund, from which the cost of extending care to patients without means can be covered.
Hospice of Wake County extends assistance beyond Wake by serving Durham, Johnston, Harnett, and Franklin Counties. Over $1,000, 000 has been raised through this event since 2001.
The guests enjoyed An Unforgettable Evening at this year’s Big Bad Ball. They were able to indulge in sensational food, five open bars and great music. A raffle for $10,000 cash prize and Ritani jewelry donated by Fink’s Jewelers was part of the night.
Many guests walked away with silent auction items such as books, gift baskets, gift certificates and jewelry. The auction was also a great fund raising success.
Donations are still being accepted for 2011, to donate please visit apps.hospiceofwake.org/.
