Perris Station Transit Center won the Transportation Award from the California Transportation Foundation. ima teamed with Psomas, Manuel Oncina Architects, and LA Engineering for the Riverside County Transportation Commission and Riverside Transit Agency project.

This project is phase one of a two-project transportation center. The transit project currently includes eight bus bays, 141 park and ride parking spaces, and five beautifully designed Victorian bus shelters. The rail project, currently undergoing project development, is the Perris Valley Line (PVL) Project. The PVL project will extend Metrolink service 24 miles from downtown Riverside to the City of Perris. The rail project includes four stations, one of which is the Perris Station. The Transit Center serves approximately 880,000 riders annually, mainly via the 216 weekday busses. The station was dedicated to Disney Animator and transportation enthusiast, Ward Kimball, and enhanced by art displays of his work such as Jiminy Cricket.

Riverside County California is one of the fastest growing regions in the state. The rapid population increase is placing a huge demand on existing outdated transportation systems. ima is assisting in the transportation solution and designing new Metro Link stations for the Perris Valley Line Metro Yellow Line extension and a multi-modal facility in the City of Perris.

The Perris Multi-Modal Facility is the first phase of a bus and bicycle trail transportation nexus that will assist in relieving this demand. Future development phases will accommodate the Perris Valley Line Metro Link rail extension from Riverside to the City of Perris. The facility is centrally located within walking distance of downtown and will spur the redevelopment of the area.
