At the same time TESA celebrated its 70th corporate anniversary.
On 29 September 2011 the doors in Waalre were thrown open to a large number of visitors who were given the opportunity to experience various measuring machines first hand and to explore the advantages of various products.
Hexagon Metrology Benelux has been an independent sales company since 1 July 2011. "With its new autonomy Hexagon Metrology Benelux is now in a better position to bring products closer to customers in the Benelux countries," explained Erwin Andes, Area Manager at Hexagon Metrology Benelux. "Our standing as an independent sales company enables us to react more quickly and effectively to the needs and wishes of Benelux customers."
During the one-day event Hexagon Metrology visitors were able to attend several informative presentations, including one on the 70th corporate anniversary of TESA. Pascal Siebens, TESA Benelux Area Manager, is proud that the company has now been investing very successfully in new products for more than 70 years. "It is our aim to invest more in the R&D fields and deepen the knowledge about Hexagon Metrology. This event gave us the opportunity to question customers directly about their needs and investigate market requirements." In addition to the 20-minute TESA presentation, the new generation of Cognitens 3D white light measuring systems met with great interest. This new system was shown for the first time in Benelux at the open day. The manual Cognitens WLS400M measuring system and the automatic Cognitens WLS400A measuring system use digital stereo-vision technology for the acquisition of high-precision 3D data.
In addition to the Cognitens white light system, visitors were able to gain a first-hand impression of the extensive product portfolio of the largest metrology group in the world. As one of its highlights Hexagon Metrology presented the ROMER Absolute Arm, the most accurate ROMER coordinate measuring machine ever produced, the Optiv Classic 321 GL tp multi-sensor measuring machine as well as the DEA GLOBAL Silver Advantage measuring machine. Others included the battery-powered Leica Absolute Tracker AT401, the high-precision Leitz Reference HP coordinate measuring machine as well as various TESA products.
In September 2011 Hexagon Metrology Benelux launched its own website. "Customers now have access to information in their own languages on our website," Erwin Andes explains. He is sure that Hexagon Metrology will be expanding the Benelux market over the next few years and wants to increase the recognition of the Hexagon Metrology brand, also thanks to the positive after-sales market. "Our choice of Waalre as our company headquarters was perfect," he adds. "The company is located at the heart of the Benelux region in close proximity to the high-tech campus in Eindhoven, where more than 90 companies and institutes have set up shop. Our service and support teams can therefore reach our customers quickly and easily when they are needed."
