TELUS is launching the TELUS Business Freedom bundle in B.C. and Alberta. For the first time, TELUS’ small and medium business (SMB) customers can bundle all of their office phone, Internet and wireless communications services in one flexible, simple and cost-effective solution.

Ideal for SMBs up to 100 employees, Business Freedom is designed to make it easier for businesses to be nimble and includes two flexible, open-ended packages:

• Business Anywhere, a solution tailored for businesses with mobile employees who need to take the capabilities of the office with them on the road or in the field; and,
• Business Select, for businesses that primarily work in a single location and/or have minimal mobility requirements.

Both include no long term commitments, anytime device upgrades and changes to services, 24/7 tech support and office phone, Internet and mobile services all on one bill.

A recent Ipsos Reid study commissioned by TELUS found 82 per cent of B.C. and Alberta SMBs are actively looking for new ways to deal with change, stating their ability to manage it is impacted by a lack of financial resources (44 per cent), lack of time (40 per cent) and complexity of processes such as technology, administrative, and billing (19 per cent).

“In today’s fast-paced business world, change is often incredibly difficult to manage if you don’t have the right resources and flexibility to do so,” said Jim Senko, vice-president of Small and Medium Business Marketing at TELUS. “Flexible tools and services delivered in a simplified way reduce administrative work and can make all the difference to a company’s bottom line. SMB owners told us they want tools to help them handle change, and with TELUS Business Freedom we are listening. TELUS Business Freedom means no long term commitments, one provider, one bill, and the ability to change services to meet their evolving needs at any time—all at the best value.”

The study also found the number one way SMBs in Canada manage change is by reviewing their current tools and technology (40 per cent). Streamlining vendor relationships was identified as the third most commonly used method to help manage change by 30 per cent of the respondents. In addition to providing valuable insight on SMB change management, the survey findings also suggested while B.C. and Alberta may be the most bullish in the country when it comes to change—84 per cent said they are not afraid of change compared to 72 per cent for the rest of Canada—still one in four SMBs said they are not prepared to deal with it (26 per cent).

Now businesses in both provinces have TELUS Business Freedom to add to their arsenal—the most flexible, simplified, cost-effective delivery of office phone, Internet and mobile services on the market. Business Freedom bundles are specifically designed to simplify and streamline telecommunications business processes as well as give SMBs the ability to adapt their tools and technology as required for their business.

“As every small and medium sized business owner can attest, staying competitive means being able to adapt quickly to whatever comes at you,” said Ian Hodge, president, Tricom Building Maintenance Canada Ltd. “TELUS’ Business Freedom bundles strip out the administrative ‘red tape’. There are no long term commitments, I can upgrade my devices at any time and my mobile and office services are all on the same bill. It sounds simple and it really is.”

TELUS offers office and mobile communications solutions to more than 250,000 small and medium-sized businesses across Canada. SMBs doing business with TELUS can count on a highly-skilled team dedicated to meeting their business needs 24/7, access to Canada’s fastest• coast-to-coast 4G network covering 98% of Canada's population*, Clear and Simple wireless rate plans and customized solutions that enable SMB’s to work wherever they are.

*Based on TELUS’ tests of data throughput speeds in large Canadian urban centres available from national HSPA+ service providers. Internet access speed provided by the network operator may vary due to the device being used, network congestion, distance from the cell site, local conditions and other factors. Speed on the Internet is beyond the wireless network operator’s control and may vary with your configuration, Internet traffic, website server and management policies, and other factors.
