Antenna Software, Inc., helping enterprises to build, manage and publish mobile apps and websites that transform business, today announced that Jim Somers, the company's Chief Marketing & Strategy Officer, will address delegates at the prestigious Planet of the Apps Conference in London on October 5th 2011.
WHAT: Planet of the Apps is a four-day event which brings together brands and developers with a view to investigating and disseminating ideas around creating, distributing, monetising, and engaging consumers through applications. As well as Somers, this year's speakers include BBC Technology Correspondent Rory Cellan-Jones, Global Head of Mobile at Thomson Reuters, Ilicco Elia, and Nick Lansley, Head of R&D at Tesco.
Somers' presentation,"Brand building with apps", will look primarily at how leading Global 1000 brands are leveraging the mobile channel to extend brand awareness, increase customer equity, and drive new revenue streams. Antenna's CMO will also discuss the scale of the opportunity mobile presents to marketers, as well as the potential pitfalls involved in "taking a brand mobile". By looking at the history of mobile, the current trends in the space, and the best practices he's spotted during his time in the industry, Somers aims to give brand attendees the confidence to go away and commission their first/next mobile app.
WHO: Jim Somers is a highly regarded mobile industry executive and thought leader who is responsible for overseeing Antenna's global marketing initiatives and driving corporate strategy across all levels of the company. He has previously held executive positions at Fiberlink Communications, Responsys and AT&T.
