For the second year in a row, Bailey Kennedy is the only Nevada law firm named among the fastest growing private companies in the United States by Inc. Magazine. The Las Vegas based law firm was first included in the Inc. 5000 list in 2010.
The annual Inc. 5000 list represents a comprehensive look at the country’s independent entrepreneurs and privately owned companies. Online retailer ideeli tops the 2011 list and is joined by business leaders Spirit Airlines, television maker Vizio, and Dunkin Donuts. A total of 33 companies from Nevada were included in the list.
“We are so pleased to be recognized again for the hard work of our talented award winning team of attorneys,” said John Bailey, founder and managing partner of Bailey Kennedy. “We are proud of the success we have had and appreciate Inc.’s acknowledgement of thousands of people across the country who help make their organizations outstanding. We attribute our success in large part to an incredibly dedicated and talented team of professionals who truly care about our clients and the firm.”
According to Inc., the median growth rate of 2011 Inc. 500|5000 companies remains an impressive 94 percent. This year’s list-makers reported the creation of 350,000 jobs in the past three years, and aggregate revenue among the honorees reached $366 billion, up 14 percent from last year.
“Now, more than ever, we depend on Inc. 5000 companies to spur innovation, provide jobs, and drive the economy forward. Growth companies, not large corporations, are where the action is,” said Inc. Magazine Editor Jane Bereston. Inc. 5000 companies must have been founded and creating revenue by March 31, 2007. All those included on the list are U.S.-based, privately held, for profit, and independent—not subsidiaries or divisions of other companies—as of December 31, 2010.
