The show, which is due to take place on 25th and 26th October in Olympia 2, London, will showcase the latest offerings and products from leading Linux companies such Oracle, Novell, Hewlett Packard, Scalix, Transtec, IBM and Sirius.
The two-day event will include the following:
• The Conference Programme – which features over 26 hours of content delivered by more than 18 industry gurus, such as John Masters, Redhat and Jon ‘maddog’ Hall, Linux International. It is aimed at helping attendees better understand Linux in both business and research environments
• Business Briefings – which are free sessions given by top industry professionals such as Chris Lewis, IT Director from hotel chain, Malmaison and Michael Sparks from the BBC. The briefings are aimed at corporate and senior IT managers looking to gain real life examples of the advantages, disadvantages, applications and integration of Linux and Open Source in business
• The Internet Café – is a new feature this year brought to us by Blueloop Ltd and its technology partner Omni Technology Solutions Inc. The Internet cafe will consist of 12 independent Linux workstations running on two Intel Pentium 4 3Ghz desktops, enabling visitors to check email and surf the Internet at the show
• .Org Village – which will unveil and showcase some of the latest developments in free Open Source technology. Attendees can share best practices, debate ideas and overall work together to better promote the use of free Open Source across the UK
