How to Conquer the Mid Years' Blues, and Live a New Life.
About eight years ago, Marc de Bruin was an attorney in a high profile law firm in the Netherlands, working his way up the ladder in the real estate and criminal law fields. “I wasn’t happy, but kept on going because the money was good, the prospects were good, and the prestige was nice”, says Mr. De Bruin.
In 1999 Mr. De Bruin came to the startling realization that he didn’t want to keep doing this work until his retirement. “The idea of me being an attorney for another 35-40 years made me shiver”, he says. “For me, that conscious realization was the turnaround point. It took me nearly a year to come to terms with the fact that I –one way or another- was going to quit my job, and lead a completely different life. I had trouble letting go of the “comfort zone” I was in”.
Mr. De Bruin did let go, went to South Africa for 6 months to study Body Stress Release (BSR), and emigrated to Australia 2.5 years later with his family, building a business in Coaching with Neuro Linguistic Programming and BSR. “I now do what I totally love, which I feel is necessary if one wants to lead a life of fulfillment. It is for that reason that I have written an e-book on how to make this change for the better”.
