- Dan Sandor, Toronto City Councillor candidate in Ward 38 (Scarborough Centre) announces endorsement for Donald Blair in neighbouring Ward 44.
Its full steam ahead now in the City of Toronto 2006 election race , and associations and friendships are being forged, and nowhere is that more evident than in Toronto's east end, in Scarborough.
Candidates' paths often cross at "meet and greet" events, official meetings, community and neighbourhood association meetings and photo-ops and it doesn't take long for candidates to get to know each other. “Donald is out at every event, involved in the community, and not only now that there is an election but throughout the year, always there talking with the people in his ward and truly listening to their concerns,” stated Dan Sandor at a recent community event. “He is, without a doubt, a great asset to this city, to council and to his neighbourhood, I would be honoured to work alongside Donald for the next four years, and beyond, at City Hall.”
Donald Blair is a candidate in Ward 44, Scarborough East and is a member of several boards and agencies. Blair’s experience at City Hall includes serving as a member of the Maryvale/Wexford Advisory Committee and the Toronto Youth Cabinet.
Dan Sandor, CEO of Vox Talent Inc, managing partner of Tsui & MacAskill, an architectural design firm, volunteer member in the Community Police Liaison in Scarborough, advocate and founder of Brigadiers Law - a movement to ammend the Criminal Code of Canada and graduate of the civilian police college. Sandor intends to bring years of mediation and "people building" business skills to City Hall.
It is anticipated that several additional endorsements and associations will be forged as the campaign comes to a head, later this month. Election Day is November 13, 2006.
