The CLI is a comprehensive configuration interface, including IP, Redundant Ring, VLAN, etc., with which users can thoroughly configure Moxa switches in the same method as IT-based switches are configured. In addition, the CLI can fully work with enterprise network management software, such as Kiwi, for command line based configuration backup and restoration. The CLI can be accessed locally via RS-232 or remotely by Telnet. When upgrading to version 3.0 firmware (available on the Moxa website) the existing Moxa managed industrial Ethernet switches will immediately be CLI enabled.
Our “Command Line Interface” demonstrates Moxa's commitment to expand the range of features for our customers so that they can unify their device management using large-scale network infrastructure applications. Compared with other manufacturer's entry level products supporting only a limited subset of commands, Moxa's switches are a true working solution for large scale projects,” said by Li Peng, Moxa's product manager of industrial Ethernet infrastructure.
The CLI interface together with the latest version 3.0 firmware has been released on Moxa's website for both the EDS-405A/408A and EDS-505A/508A/510A/516A/518A switch Series, and will also be released soon for the EDS-608/ 611/ 616/ 619, EDS-728, IKS, PT, and TN switch Series.
When upgraded to the latest V3.0 firmware, Moxa's complete portfolio of industrial Ethernet managed switches will continue to feature industrial-grade reliability, network redundancy, seamless integrated security, and best price-to-performance ratio.
