The Association of Settlement Companies (TASC™) held its first annual Fall conference on September 7-8, 2006 in Las Vegas.
TASC™ is a non-profit organization that has created this conference in order to provide its members with the most recent information available about the debt settlement industry. TASC has been working hand in hand with Owners and Operators of Settlement Companies, Regulators, Legislators, Consumers and Creditors for the last year. They strongly believe they have crafted standards that will define the future of the debt settlement industry.
The conference included panel discussions which covered topics of marketing, lobbying, and legislation as they relate to the debt settlement industry. TASC™ also presented a great deal of information on how to become compliant with the TASC standards and various state regulations.
Key note speaker, John Ansbach of Generational Consulting Group, gave a show-stopping presentation titled, “How Different Generations View and Handle Debt and Using the Information to Your Company’s Advantage.” He outlined the four generation groups and their quirks which will hopefully help companies understand how to target these groups and better utilize their marketing dollars.
Additional guest speakers included: Marcie McNelis - Multistate Associates, Attorney Robby Birnbaum - Greenspoon Marder P.A., Nicolas De Segonzac - AcuShield Financial, Jeffrey Carlson - Resurgent Capital, Dave Aronberg - Florida State Senator, Cort Jensen - Montana Assistant Attorney General, Bruce Massey - McNeese and Associates and many more.
