YASH Technologies™, a leading technology services and outsourcing partner for global companies, today announced its involvement in development efforts of the recently released SAP® Best Practices for Chemicals package (V1.605) in the U.S. The package is designed to cover many of the requirements of the chemical industry, speeding implementation time considerably. Some companies have experienced a fit of up to 80 percent. SAP Best Practices packages provide pre-configured, industry-specific business processes and project accelerators to streamline customer implementations of the SAP ERP application.
Major updates to the release included new scenarios for plant maintenance (e.g., shop-floor shift notes and reports, batch history, and WIP batch and enhancements) and investment orders. Scenarios from the SAP Environment, Health, and Safety Management (SAP EHS Management) application have been carved out from the earlier chemical solution and packaged into an independent, deployable solution for cross industries, such as chemical, consumer packaged goods and oil and gas. YASH's highly experienced consulting practice in support of SAP applications, including SAP EHS Management, provided additional configuration recommendations that were incorporated into the latest release.
