According to our research,“Russian Cement Sector Analysis”, Russia has been on the forefront of the cement industry developments during the last decade. The industry was hit hard during recession but rebounded substantially to respond to the surging domestic demand from massive infrastructure and construction projects. Recent industry developments and the government supportive policies are attracting global cement giants and sparking off a spate of cement plant establishments in the country. The report further revealed that cement production will grow at a CAGR of 8.1% by 2015 and will position Russia as one of the world’s most preferred destination for sector investments.

The study identified that the Central and the Volga regions have traditionally experienced increasing cement productions although Volga’s share dented during the economic crisis. Although, these two regions together contribute over 40% cement production in Russia but still, cement capacity in these regions are underutilized, which itself leaves vast opportunity for production growth in the coming years.

At demand fronts, the country has yet to cover a long distance to compete with the global giants. Although in the long run, the per capita consumption will be largely benefitted from the nationwide enormous housing development project that will uplift the overall cement consumption in the country. In addition, Russia is also the host of Sochi Olympics and is currently in the process of building basic infrastructure amenities, such as roads, dams, bridges, highways, etc. We anticipate cement demand to surpass the production growth, which may result in increasing cement imports.

Our report,“Russian Cement Sector Analysis”, has been authored to study and evaluate future potentials of cement industry in Russia and its various segments. The report thoroughly examines all prominent emerging trends and drivers fueling growth in the industry. Further, it highlights market developments in all major segments, such as production, installed capacity, export, import, plant size, and consumption to enable clients to understand Russian cement market dynamics. Most importantly, the report also presented industry forecasts based on the correlation of past drivers, challenges, and opportunities for expansion. In this way, the report presents a complete and coherent analysis of the Russian cement industry, which will prove decisive for the clients.
