Des Moines, IA, United States, 2011/07/19 - Kemin Industries is pleased to announce the addition of two employees to Kemin Nutrisurance, the company's pet food division - Kemin.com.
Jerry May has joined as senior vice president of regulatory affairs and John Anderson has joined as operations director for North and South America.
In his current role, May will be responsible for providing strategic and operational regulatory expertise, offering leadership for regulatory approvals as well as monitoring the quality of Kemin products to meet customer needs. Prior to joining Kemin, May was the associate director of product safety and regulatory affairs for Procter & Gamble. While with Proctor & Gamble, May served as Co-Chair of the International Trade Subcommittee and Chair of the Food Safety Committee for the Pet Food Institute (PFI). He also served on the AFIA Board of Directors Executive committee. May received a bachelor's degree in political science from Eastern Kentucky University.
As operations director, Anderson will manage the operations and engineering departments in North and South America. He will be responsible for providing and implementing strategic plans for all operations while participating with Kemin worldwide on departmental plans and projects. Before joining Kemin, Anderson worked for the Aveka Group in a dual role as director of operations and general manager for the Fredericksburg, Iowa site. He also spent time with 3M in St. Paul, Minnesota, where he worked with the corporate research group focusing on fine particle technologies. Anderson received a bachelor's degree in physics from St. Olaf College in Northfield, Minnesota.

Both May and Anderson will be based at Kemin's corporate headquarters in Des Moines, Iowa.
