According to the 2006 Warranty Direct Garage Labour Rates Survey, a nationwide analysis which compares over 3,000 franchised and independent garages, Hertfordshire was the third (3rd) most expensive region with an average labour rate of GBP 108.15 at franchised dealers. London came out at top of the league with average labour rates of GBP 116.53 at franchised dealers.
To coincide with the launch of the new website, a Follettmotors.com Independent VW Audi Blog is also being set up. [Definition: Web log; An online journal or diary that is frequently updated]
This will feature pictures of parts taken from work commonly performed during the lifespan of a vehicle (e.g., timing belt) alongside helpful explanations as to their individual function and the reasons for work needing to be carried out. The blog will also feature short video clips which illustrate examples of frequently performed work, the parts used and recommendations. These video clips will also be posted on YouTube™.
