Perceptive Software, creator of enterprise content management (ECM) solutions, including ImageNow® document management, imaging and workflow, announced today the hiring of Glenn Cross as the company’s Vice President of Marketing.

Cross will oversee all global marketing initiatives at Perceptive Software including demand generation, partner and channel marketing, marketing communications, and analyst and public relations. He brings more than 13 years of marketing experience in the enterprise content management space to Perceptive Software, and 17 years in the software industry. Cross has either led or been directly involved in global strategic marketing efforts at Symantec, Open Text, and, most recently CA. Cross’ experience includes creating and executing on field marketing programs, managing channel and partner marketing initiatives, global demand generation strategy, marketing/communications and web/internet marketing.

Cross’ channel and partner marketing experience includes managing the marketing strategy for partners including SAP, Microsoft, Oracle, IBM, and all the major GSI. Additionally, Cross is seen as an industry expert, having been quoted in the Chicago Tribune, Denver Post, Detroit Free Press, and many industry publications.

Cross takes over for Perceptive Software co-founder Cary DeCamp, who since January has served as executive vice president for strategic initiatives, primarily charged with expanding the company’s international leadership team and instilling Perceptive Software’s business processes globally.

“We are pleased to welcome Glenn Cross to the Perceptive Software family,” said Scott Coons, President and CEO, Perceptive Software. “Glenn’s reputation in the software industry speaks for itself. He has a proven history of meeting or exceeding revenue goals and has been successful at every stop in his career. The strategies and initiatives that Glenn will be implementing will play a major role in the continued growth globally at Perceptive Software.”
