Blacksburg, VA, United States, 2011/06/02 - We’re happy to announce that Austin, TX has selected the alertworks outbound notification system to improve the City’s court collection process and enhance customer service.
This hosted notification system will provide seamless integration to the Municipal Court’s PCSS JEMS Case Management System.
With a population over 800,000, the Austin Municipal Court handles approximately 450,000 new cases annually and is responsible for the adjudication of Class 'C' misdemeanor cases, including traffic and general complaint offenses, civil parking citations and red light-photo violations as provided by City Ordinance.
Alertworks, Tele-Works’ outbound calling module, will allow the Court to automatically deliver calls to defendants who are delinquent in paying court costs, fees and fines. The Court is mandated by State law and the Office of Court Administration (OCA) to make calls on delinquent adjudicated cases. Currently, 28,000 manual collections calls are made per year; alertworks will enable the Court to meet the collection notification requirements and eliminate manual dialing freeing up time for busy staff.
To enhance customer service, alertworks will also be used to make reminder calls for upcoming court dates, deadlines and schedule changes. These calls will cut down the number of missed court appearances and reduce confusion associated with schedule changes.
