Frost & Sullivan today honoured and recognized Aerospace & Defense's best at the 2011 Frost & Sullivan Asia Pacific Aerospace & Defense Awards banquet held at the Crowne Plaza Changi Airport, Singapore where Incheon International Airport picked up the 2011 Asia Pacific

Airport of the Year (Above 15 Million Passengers Annually) award.
"In 2010, Incheon International Airport displayed the highest passenger growth rates and revenues per aircraft movement in Asia Pacific, one of the best recoveries after a slowdown in a tough 2009. They showcased leadership capabilities in improving their operations such as check-in time, immigration and security services," said Mr. Ravikumar Madavaram, Consultant of Aerospace & Defense Asia Pacific, Frost & Sullivan.

The Awards seek to recognize the outstanding performance by companies in the Airlines, Airports, Manufacturing, Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul (MRO), Aviation Training, Defense, General Aviation and Homeland Security segments of the Aerospace and Defense industry.

"We are extremely proud and happy to host the 4th annual awards in Singapore to celebrate best practices in the Asia Pacific Aerospace & Defense industry," said Mr. Subhranshu Sekhar Das, Director of Aerospace & Defense Asia Pacific, Frost & Sullivan. "Although the Aerospace & Defense industry has matured over the last hundred years, the industry is continuously evolving with innovative best practices."

"The recipients of the Frost & Sullivan Asia Pacific Aerospace & Defense Awards have clearly raised the bar of excellence a notch above others in their own market segments. The Asia Pacific region is expected to be one of the best performing regions in 2011 despite what is shaping as a turbulent year for the global aviation industry," he added.

Frost & Sullivan identifies the outstanding industry achievements in the past year by companies in the regional and global markets, through in-depth interviews, market analysis, performance measurements, and benchmarking of market participants to bring unique best practices to fore front.

Frost & Sullivan also celebrates its 50th Anniversary this year. Frost & Sullivan is proud to be among the top 25 companies with a history of over 50 years that participates in the Information and Consulting Industry worth US$366 billion globally
