Veolia ES Solid Waste, Inc. is pleased to announce its recognition as a “Top 100 Workplace” in southeast Wisconsin. The list of employers was compiled by The Milwaukee Journal Sentinel and highlights companies that “provide their employees with a great place to work.”
As one of the leading solid waste companies in the area and in North America, Veolia was listed number 30 on the list and was entered as part of the midsize business category. The company employs 364 people and provides waste services to commercial, residential and industrial customers across the country. Its solid waste operations have been located in Milwaukee since 1998.
“We are honored to be recognized,” said Dana Valentine, vice president of human resources for Veolia ES Solid Waste. “We have made a commitment to developing, retaining and rewarding our employees, and we feel that creating a great work environment results in a better customer experience.”
To qualify for the Top 100 list, employees had to submit positive feedback about working at Veolia to the staff at the newspaper. Comments from employees included praise for Veolia’s commitment to providing a fulfilling work experience to engage and retain its employees.
“Veolia is proud to receive such a great distinction that came solely from the feedback of our employees. Our obligation to their development and overall satisfaction on the job is, and will continue to be, one of our organization’s top priorities,” said Jim Long, president and CEO of Veolia ES Solid Waste.
The full “Top 100” list was released in the May 20, 2011 issue of The Milwaukee Journal Sentinel.
