Addison, TX, United States, 10/02/2006 - TASC held its first trade asssociation conference in Las Vegas, NV. The participation of the industry was incredible with over 140 attendees. Companies from around the nation attended to discuss legislative and consumer related issues.

Last week, The Association of Settlement Companies, TASC™, held our first annual Fall Settlement Conference in Las Vegas, NV. This historical event was held September 7th and 8th at Bally’s and was a huge success! The conference marked the largest showing of any national conference our industry has ever seen, and has set a new precedence of unity within our industry. There were over 140 registered attendees, 21 speakers, and 13 vendors who came out in support of our industry and for your association.
This marks the beginning of a new era in settlement and the beginnings of a new image for the settlement industry, as we continue to spread our message to regulators and legislators across the country. It was a remarkable event and just the tip of the iceberg of things to come.
TASC™ would like to take this opportunity to thank all of the speakers and panelists who gave us their valuable time to inform our members of the events taking place within our industry. Thank you to those that participated on our Lobbyist panel; Marcie McNelis with MultiState, Bob Byrd, Tower Kountze, Kevin McFadden, Robby Birnbaum, and Jenifer Brandeberry.
Special thanks to Senator Dave Aronberg of Florida and Cort Jensen from the Montana Consumer Protection office.
Key note speaker, John Ansbach, President of Generational Consulting Group, revealed how different generations view and handle debt. Armed with generational information, attendees left empowered to “speak to the listening” of each potential consumer.
