The pavé settings, fine hand-filigree, milgraining, and hand-engraving are some of the finest precious metalwork you’ll ever see.”
CB Fine’s Antique Reproductions are precise replicas of antique originals from the 18th, 19th, and early 20th centuries. These collections showcase pavé and bezel set antique rose-cut diamonds, as well as antique French-cut and sugarloaf cabochon-cut fine rubies, sapphires, and emeralds. Custom-cut precious color stones are individually calibrated and cut to fit intricate and delicate precious metal mountings.
CB Fine’s Wire-set Openwork collections are defined by airy, lacey, open wire-work with diamond melee prong-set directly onto the wire. Fine mini-prong diamond settings with rows of diamonds are set with no metal borders, and are held in place only by miniature discreet gold prongs rising straight up from the gold wire beneath the diamonds. This produces the striking visual effect of diamond melee floating freely in rows, forming popular shapes such as hearts and circles, squares ovals and cushions; or more intricate and statement-making shapes such as free-form geometrics, fireworks, flower bouquets, or snowflakes.
