A FLEDGLING Newcastle business has clinched a deal to provide music heard every day by more than four million Americans on a leading US breakfast TV show.
Production music library The Beat Suite has added ABC TV’s Good Morning America to a string of recent international household name clients as the young company’s investment during the recession pays off.
Its success in being chosen to provide regular tracks to back features on Good Morning America came on the back of being picked to supply the music for ABC’s Night Line news programme.
The company, which was founded only seven years ago by managing director Steve Bainbridge, has also recently won contracts to supply music for advertising video for such blue chip names as Samsung Mobiles, Flymo, Kodak and Lotus cars.
The Beat Suite, which now has more than 20,000 registered users worldwide, offers a range of custom music and audio production services in addition to its online music licensing at Beatsuite.com.
With the economic downturn growth has been slowed but the company has used this opportunity improve its online services in particular music licensing and online downloads from its music library. In recent months, following the investment in a new website, the company is expanding again.
It was chosen by ABC TV after the station’s producers sampled The Beat Suite’s music on the website and were so impressed they chose to make the company a regular supplier.
Aslan Livingstone, producer ABC News Nightline said: “Beatsuite.com provides me with an invaluable 24-hour resource that sets my productions above the rest. Simply put it provides me with music I actually like, music that helps me communicate to my audience at a price point that even the most stretched budget can handle. The customer service guys are brilliant.’’
Steve Bainbridge said: “Obviously to win the business for Good Morning America is a great achievement. It’s particularly gratifying as it comes on the back of such major wins in the international market and confirms that we have really broken through to compete, and win, at the very highest level.
“It’s a vindication of our decision to invest during the recession. We have invested in our new state-of-the-art recording studios which facilitates voiceover production and features ISDN functionality with the ability to dial in voice artits from anywhere in the world. We have also spent four years developing, from the ground up, a website that that will revolutionise music licensing which, for years has been complex and long winded. Our site provides companies with a system whereby they can license music for almost any project day or night 365 days a year
“Clients can preview, license and download music from us in an instant anytime of day or night. It’s a one-stop-shop for music licensing and download.
“Music tracks can be auditioned, downloaded and licensed from one place any time of day or night. There are no forms to send off or phone calls to be made. It’s instant, extremely powerful and 100% easy. And, for added convenience, it is also available on iPhone or iPad too.
“These investments and the fact we are not London based allows us to the very highest level of service at a fraction of the fees of our London based competitors.’’
Now The Beat Suite (beatsuite.com) is recruiting more staff and is growing its list of key clients whilst growing what is undoubtedly one of the freshest and most cutting edge production music libraries around.
