ZOLL® Medical Corporation, a manufacturer of medical devices and related software solutions, announced today that it will display its fully integrated portfolio of resuscitation devices and data management solutions that address each link in the Chain of Survival in Booth #2125 May 3-5 at Association of Critical Care Nurses National Teaching Institute (NTI) & Critical Care Exposition in Chicago. ZOLL’s technology is strongly aligned with the 2010 Guidelines’ emphasis on high-quality CPR and minimizing interruptions in chest compressions.
The increased focus in the new American Heart Association Guidelines for CPR and Emergency Cardiac Care on methods to improve CPR quality has been an ongoing commitment of ZOLL since 2002, when it was the first to introduce real-time CPR feedback in its AED Plus®. Today, all ZOLL defibrillators, from ACLS to AEDs, feature Real CPR Help® audio and visual feedback for the correct depth and rate, and tracking of idle time. All CPR is documented to provide for post-resuscitation debriefing.
Further supporting the 2010 Guidelines are the R Series® Code-Ready® family of defibrillators for hospitals, and the AED Pro®, both of which offer See-Thru CPR®, a breakthrough technology that filters out CPR artifact from the ECG to reduce CPR interruptions. Use of low energy biphasic continuous waveform capnography in the R Series also determines tube placement, tracks resuscitation progress, and provides a clear indication of ROSC. The R Series Code-Ready Defibrillators are designed to extend “Simple, Smart and Ready” defibrillation to every hospital department through advanced, cost-effective solutions for resuscitation.
ZOLL’s AutoPulse®, used to provide CPR, is an automated, portable device with an easy-to-use, load-distributing LifeBand® that squeezes the entire chest, improving blood flow to the heart and brain during resuscitation. The AutoPulse delivers high-quality, uninterrupted chest compressions to maintain myocardial and cerebral perfusion even when moving patients, traveling in an ambulance or while undergoing PCI. Additionally, it offers the benefit of freeing up clinicians to focus on other life-saving interventions.
Making its debut at NTI will be the Propaq® MD Monitor/Defibrillator for critical care transport when invasive pressure monitoring is required. This is an ultra-lightweight compact device with highly sophisticated, advanced capabilities that combine the well-accepted and proven features of the Propaq monitors with the clinically superior therapeutic capabilities of ZOLL defibrillation and non-invasive pacing technologies.

Additional product highlights include:
• Intravascular Temperature Management (IVTM®) technology offers health care providers the power and control they need to rapidly, safely, and effectively manage the core body temperature of critically ill or surgical patients. The Thermogard XP® delivers accurate, easy-to-use and cost-effective control for both cooling and warming applications.
• CodeNet® is the first software system that allows hospital teams to better document, manage, and review cardiac arrest event and resuscitation information. CodeNet brings new improvements and efficiencies in data capture, event time synchronization, and case and aggregate reporting. It is the only system that time stamps logged events and synchronizes these times with defibrillator data, providing clinicians with a complete and accurate timeline of an entire cardiac arrest event.
• PocketCPR® for the iPhone® is the first training app to provide CPR training and practice using the 2010 American Heart Association CPR Guidelines. The application, awarded Honorable Mention (4th place) in the Best App Ever contest on the internet, provides clear visual and audio step-by-step coaching on CPR performance and includes the initial steps to follow in the Chain of Survival.
ZOLL Sponsors Five CE Sessions in Booth 2125
