Copenhagen, Denmark, 2011/04/27 - Nearby makes it easy for users to find shops and other points of interests they are looking for. For business to gain visibility and gain valuable feedback. And for governments to improve tourism and help promote public services - Nearby.dk.
Benefits for users:
When a user arrives at Nearby they are met with a map with their position in the center, and a points of interest visible on the map. We provide a list of open shops in the area so the user quickly can find places that are open for business. The users location is constantly updated as the user moves around.
The user can find the place they want by applying the category filter. For instance, selecting the “Grocery Store” and “ATM” category will remove all places from the map that aren’t a grocery store, or a cash dispenser. Furthermore the user can use the search function to search for specific places all around the world.
Once a place is selected by the user they can see a description, leave feedback, and get a route planned.
Users can also suggest changes to existing places, or suggest new places.
The user can easily arrange a meeting place by sharing a location with their friends on facebook, twitter, E:, or through many other services.
