0004 Technologies USA, Inc., the Champaign, Illinois based mobile application development firm announced today the opening of its new office in downtown Champaign. The company was previously located in the Enterprise Works incubator facility in the University of Illinois Research Park. The University of Illinois is a top-tier research university with notable achievements made in the fields of computer science, engineering, and agriculture sciences. Elements of groundbreaking technologies including Mosaic, YouTube, PayPal, and Netscape all started at the U of I.
004 opened its doors in June 2010 and is the first US subsidiary of 004 Beratungs- und Dienstleistungs GmbH, an ecommerce services firm based in Aschaffenburg, Germany. The parent company was founded in 2003 and employs more than 200 people. 004 lists several prominent German companies as clients including T-Online, FC Koln, Strauss Innovation, Adler, Bild.de, and Axel Springer.
Now that it has successfully moved into its new home, 004 can focus on the principal task at hand, that is completing a comprehensive iPad app development project for one of the largest multimedia firms in Germany. Mr Patrick MacKay, 004 Technologies USA’s President, said “its all hands on deck at the moment with everyone focused on the project’s mid-may delivery date when the app will be submitted to Apple for approval and subsequent listing in the App Store.”
