Gizmox, the developer of the award-winning Visual WebGui (VWG) and cloud Platform, announced today that they have entered into a strategic alliance with TCS - Tata Consultancy Services and will be launching a joint solution for migrating VB6 applications to .NET. The alliance was formed following Microsoft’s decision to end support for the VB6 environment within the next few months.
The companies will be providing an all inclusive migration solution (turnkey) to migrate business applications running legacy environments such as VB6, COBOL, Oracle Forms and Windows Forms to .NET in client/server or Web / Cloud architecture. The collaboration will initially be within with the Israeli market with a view to expansion into global markets. The new solution will enable organizations to avoid the significant expenses of cost and time associated with re-writing applications and provides rapid transition from the old to the new environment.
