EMLab P&K is pleased to announce expanded analytical laboratory services for mold and bacteria analysis at its Houston, TX regional laboratory. The Houston lab is now accredited by the American Industrial Hygiene Association (AIHA) for viable mold and bacterial analysis (EMLAP # 193549). Clients are now able to send non-viable and viable samples for mold and bacterial lab analysis. The Houston lab is also able to perform Quanti-Tray analysis. All of EMLab P&K’s laboratories and MicroLabs are currently AIHA accredited.

"We are excited to offer additional analytical capabilities at our Houston laboratory. Through our AIHA accreditation, EMLab P&K continues to demonstrate it is among the best mold and bacteria laboratories in the nation for quality and accuracy,” states Tim Costello, EMLab P&K’s Director of Quality Assurance. “The recognition demonstrates the high quality of analytical data produced from our Houston mold and bacteria lab. Because major health and financial decisions are made based on laboratory results and on the quality system in place in the laboratory, it is very important that the data produced by the laboratory and its QA system are of the highest quality. EMLab P&K’s AIHA accreditation is a mark of this capability as a mold and bacteria laboratory you can trust."

AIHA provides unbiased third-party review of quality performance by a laboratory through strict series of assessments. AIHA accreditation represents a laboratory’s proven ability to meet or exceed rigorous standards provided by AIHA Accreditation Programs, LLC. The accreditation programs operated by AIHA Laboratory Accreditation Programs, LLC meet international program requirements established under ISO/IEC 17011. Areas of assessment include: quality systems, personnel, equipment, measurement traceability, sampling, accommodation and environment, test and calibration methods, handling and reports.
